Downtown Royal Oak presents the annual Spooktacular event for the whole family! Parents are invited to bring their children in their Halloween costumes for trick-or-treating at downtown businesses on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 2-4 p.m.

Trick-or-Treat at over 50 downtown businesses, plus enjoy special savings, treats and more!

November Election

Community Coalition Family Day

Join the Royal Oak Community Coalition in partnership with local merchants to celebrate Monday, September 22, 2014 as Family Day, "A day to eat dinner with your children". Print the flyer and present it to any of the participating merchants to enjoy the discount provided. This printable flyer is a list of participating locations and associated discounts.

Senior Heath and Wellness Fair and Raffle

The Mahany/Meininger Senior Community Center (3500 Marais Ave, Royal Oak MI 48073) is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair and Raffle.  The event will start at 12:00 noon on September 30, 2014. Activities include Flu immunizations, blood pressure and glucose screening, balance screening, chiropractic screening, and information on nutrition, natural healing methods, human services, foot care, reading materials for low vision and vision impaired, and more. Citizen Scientist

"Citizen Scientist” is is a new program that will help us with research within Tenhave Woods.  With your help, we will be searching for and counting Giant Swallowtail butterfly larva on Prickly ash in order to get information on their population.  We may also continue our search for Shumard Oak which we believe is in Tenhave but we haven’t located yet.  If found, this would be the furthest north any have been found in the state.  If you are interested in participating in this program, please join us on Sunday, September 7, 2014Read more »

Burgers and Brass Outdoor Concert

Say goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall with a free concert featuring the Motor City Brass Band. The doors open at 4:00 pm and the concert begins at 4:30 pm at the Leo Mahany / Harold Meininger Senior Community Center, 3500 Marais Ave - East of Crooks/North of 13 Mile Rd. The Concert is to be held outside, so bring a chair or lawn blanket. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Community Center. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Summer Concert Series Performance

Royal Oak Computer and Electronics Recycling Event

There will be a free Computer and Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, October 4th at the Royal Oak Department of Public Service located at 1200 N Campbell Rd, Royal Oak MI 48073. This event is open to the public. During the event, they will be accepting TVs, computers, consumer electronics, home office equipment, and large kitchen appliances at no charge!
