The Royal Oak Jaycees presents the 5th Annual "South Oakland Chili Cook off" on November 22nd from 6pm to 10pm at the Royal Oak Farmers Market! Now in it's fifth year, this special event brings together local restaurants, community groups, students, and individuals in a competition searching for the area's best chili. The Royal Oak Memorial Society invites everyone to attend the Veteran's Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 11:00am to honor our veterans who have given us our freedom. The 3rd Annual Autumn Harvest will be held at the Royal Oak Farmers Market from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sept. 12. All proceeds will go to the Jordan and Ashley Siegel Scholarship Fund. The event features live music, appetizers, beer, wine, raffles and a 50-50 raffle. Registration for the event is taking place now and the cost is $35 until Sept. 1. The cost raises to $40 in September and is $45 on the day of the event.
