Our goals are to provide a safe haven for lost animals or animals given up by their owners; to reunite lost animals with their human companions, and to provide the best possible adoptions of available animals into the home best suited to their personalities.

Featured Pet of the Week

MEET CYRUS! He was given up for adoption by someone who couldn't care for him anymore. Cyrus is a Plott hound, which is a scent hound breed that originated in Germany and was originally bred for boar hunting. Plott hounds love the outdoors and are happy in the woods as well as around water. Cyrus is about 3 years old and is great with other dogs and people and loves to play.

Cyrus has been neutered, and all of his shots are current so he’s ready to go to his forever home.

For information about adopting Cyrus, visit the Royal Oak Animal Shelter at 1515 Edgeworth or phone the shelter at: 248-246-3364
