Detroit Zoo Kidney Walk

Royal Oak Historical Society is having a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, May 11th featuring a presentation of "Where did Annie get her gun?" There will be a showing of a DVD about Annie Oakley that her grand niece, Bess Edwards, made and she will talk and answer questions afterwards. Royal Oak Lacrosse Fundraiser

Memorial Day Community Parade

The Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 31st, beginning at 9:00 am. The parade route is starting at South Main Street and Harrison, heading North to 2nd Street, then East to the Veteran's Memorial. South Oakland Artist's Association 50th Anniversary

Jim Ellison, Mayor of Royal Oak, will do the ribbon cutting for the SOAA's 50th Anniversary Fine Art Show and Sale "Focus:Art" May 2 through May 8, 2010 at the American Center Building. The American Center and SOAA have presented this popular show for the last 29 years at 27777 Franklin Road, Southfield, MI 48084. The opening reception will be Sunday May 2, 2010 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. The exhibit will show the latest art pieces of 25 local South Oakland Artists.
