Arts, Beats & Eats in Royal Oak
Arts, Beats & Eats is coming to Royal Oak! We will be the new home to this premier end-of-summer festival starting in 2010.
On December 7, both the City Commission and the Downtown Development Authority unanimously agreed to enter into a tri-party agreement with the festival promoters to become the new home for the Labor Day weekend festival.
With a vibrant downtown area, Royal Oak has long been a destination location for patrons looking for unique dining and entertainment experiences. Our city streets have been host to special events such as the Clay, Glass and Metal Festival, the Annual Garage Sale, Royal Oak in Bloom, the Oak/Apple Run and parades for St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, and the Holiday Magic Parade that launches our Christmas season. Residents, visitors and vendors have come to see Royal Oak as a town that pulls together and knows how to provide a good time for the whole family.
Arts, Beats & Eats will be the perfect addition to the end of summer 2010 in Royal Oak. Four days of viewing and shopping a diverse array of fine art, listening to a wide range of musical performances, and sampling culinary delights should provide sustenance for all appetites. With an anticipated attendance of at least 250,000 visitors, it will also be another opportunity for Royal Oak, its merchants and residents to show the beauty and ambience that has developed in our “Cool City”.
Mark your calendars for Labor Day Weekend, September 3-6, 2010, for fine art, fabulous music, great tasting food and lots of family fun! Please visit the Arts, Beats and Eats website for events details, artist applications, and more news as important event updates will be available throughout the year.
