ROWC Home & Garden Tour

Event - Date & Time:
Saturday, June 26, 2010 - 10:00am - 4:00pm

The 2010 Royal Oak Woman’s Club Home and Garden Tour scheduled for Saturday, June 26th offers a wonderful selection of some of our finest homes in Royal Oak.  This city wide self-guided home tour, sponsored by the non-profit Royal Oak Woman’s Club, is an all - volunteer effort and offers a rare opportunity to experience the craftsmanship, architecture and unique features of some of the most impressive residences in this popular community. With seven stops, the tour showcases homes with varied themes and passions: a prairie style dream home built by carpenters imported from England, a Cape Cod celebration of Americana, a Craftsman bungalow, a love affair with the African continent and design work of some of Royal Oak’s finest. Your tour will also include Royal Oak’s Historical Society Museum – now housed in a converted vintage firehouse.  Trained docents will direct and educate participants at each site. The city-wide tour starts at the Royal Oak Woman’s Club, 404 South Pleasant, at the corner of Fourth and Pleasant Sts. Tour hours are 10 AM to 4 PM. Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door on the day of the event.  Advance tickets may be purchased by contacting Laura Hewson at 248-808-1528 or at the following locations: William Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, located at 705 W Eleven Mile Road, Royal Oak or The Ladybug Craft and Framing Shoppe, located at 210 W.
